The Gens Ace Charging Safeguard is an electronic protection module designed for charging 2S to 6S LiPo batteries. It connects between the battery charger and the battery, monitoring important safety parameters throughout the charging process.

If an abnormal condition is detected, the Charging Safeguard can automatically interrupt charging. This provides an additional layer of protection alongside the charger's existing safety functions.

Protection Functions:

1. Overvoltage Protection

If any individual cell reaches 4.3 V or higher for more than 2 seconds, the module automatically stops charging.

2. Overcurrent Protection

If the charging current exceeds 30 A for more than 1 second, charging is automatically interrupted.

3. High-Temperature Protection

Charging is stopped if the internal module temperature exceeds 70 °C.

4. Battery Monitoring

If any cell voltage falls below 2.5 V, charging is stopped and the red LED flashes. The battery must not be used further.

5. LED Status Indicators

• Green: Normal operation.

• Yellow: Protection function activated.

• Red: Protection module malfunction.

• Flashing red: Dangerously low cell voltage or defective battery.

6. Automatic Sleep Mode

If charging is not started within 30 minutes after connection, the module automatically enters sleep mode.

How to Use:

Connect the battery's main power lead and balance connector to the output of the Charging Safeguard. Check the status indicator, then connect the charger's main power lead and balance connector to the module's input. Start charging only when all connections are correct and the green LED is illuminated.

Important: The Charging Safeguard is not a standalone battery charger. Always use a compatible LiPo balance charger. Never leave charging batteries unattended, and verify all connections and polarity before use.
